OMG Announces Jim Sinur, Gartner, to Keynote Fourth Annual BPM Think Tank 2008
Business Process Management (BPM) event to be held October 6-7, 2008

Needham, MA, USA - September 16, 2008 - The Object Management Group™ (OMG™), in partnership with BPTrends, today announced that Jim Sinur, Vice President, Gartner, will give the keynote presentation "The Economics of Business Process," at the BPM Think Tank 2008 event being held October 6-7, 2008 at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O'Hare in Chicago, IL, USA. BPM Think Tank 2008 attendees will participate in at least three unique, highly interactive BPM Roundtables over the course of two days. These roundtables are small, interactive group sessions moderated by subject matter experts who will introduce the topic and move on to the group discussion that uniquely characterizes BPM Think Tank. Presentations before and after the roundtable sessions will focus on business case studies presented by end users with real-world experience.

Jim Sinur, Vice President, Gartner "The Economics of Business Process"
There is a co-dependency between economics and business processes that is quite unique. The reality of today's economic conditions drives the need of the kind of productivity and time to market that BPM brings to the table. Not only is the economic opportunity great, but BPM affords the kind of agility to keep current with the changes that are facing businesses today. This session will explore how the benefit pools link with business needs as organizations mature in their leverage of business processes activity.

About the Speaker
Jim Sinur is a recognized thought leader in the Business Process Management, Business Rules Management and Decision Optimization arenas. Until recently, he was the Chief Strategy Officer for Global360 and was responsible for the advancement of Global 360's products in the BPM and Process Intelligence markets. Prior to joining Global 360, Jim Sinur served as a VP at Gartner Research where he researched topics including BPM, business modeling, business activity monitoring and process intelligence technologies.

Jim Sinur served as the Director of Worldwide Technologies for American Express. Before joining American Express, Sinur spent time at Northwestern Mutual Life, where he was involved in the design and building of business-critical applications in the investment and annuity departments. Additionally, Sinur led the development of the company's Underwriting Workbench.
